Hobbies ain't cheap !
I bought a new Ruger 10-22 a few weeks ago, and then proceeded to re do it. I put an AR type stock, red dot, bi-pod,..etc.....so far, I'm into it just under $400. I went to a local gun show today, and had to "just say no !". 
As my name implies, I also own a Harley, and as all of you who ride one, you know, there's no end to ways to drop cash on it. I put in a friends shop last week for an elec /starting problem. I also knew the speedo was shot, and would have to be replaced. I'm up to about $250+, and that's just parts, no labor ! Yikes!
Any of you throwing money at your hobbies on a regular basis?

Yes you are correct! And then you have other vices beginning with GUNS and the lure of the FTF! And then things like deer hunting and coyote hunting. OH YES! did I mention the Bass Boat and Fishing! Well there goes some more $$$$$$$$$! Hobbies Hell! It's an addiction! Where does it stop for those of us who are addicted to the outdoors!

A while back my wife was interested in a boat  I seem to recall that a boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money.

Overkill,
They certainly can be! And especially like weapons if they are not of top quality and if you do not take good care of them.
I do know one thing! The price for fish per lb. is much cheaper at the Store!

lol you actually catch fish in a boat?? have had mine going on three years yet to catch a fish out of it!! i prolly just have no clue how to fish for these northern lake fish.
i change the oil at the start of the seson check the plugs clean out the winter bugs and get after it. i dont spend much on it. far less than the money i spend on firearms and horse feed.

Hobbies are like divorces. They are expensive because they are worth it.
Hobbies have a different kind of ROI. If they paid out in money, they would not be hobbies; they would be jobs.
