Went to physical therapy for my shoulder this morning and

1. Was told my range of motion is at about 95% and getting better

2. Was able to do everything the therapist wanted me to do (and more when he wasn't looking).

3. Can do everything I need to at work, although not as fast and strong as I would like but getting there.

4. By spring the shoulder will, according to the therapist be able to handle about any recoil I want to throw at it. I am thinking light trap loads at first, then my .270, then I have been eying a mosin that keeps showing up at a gun show about 45 minutes away, if it is there in Jan it will probably come home with me. The therapist is a hunter and trap shooter so he is not guessing about recoil.

All in all not bad healing for a guy who is almost 50 (going on 14 in my mind).

The highlight of my day today was talking to my wife on the phone. Twice.

Glad to hear it. Keep working on it!

Highlight of the day yesterday was when the wife finally bought a gun and we fired off 3/4 case of ammo.

I've been deer hunting for the past few days without seeing the first deer right? Well, today, I go to the local gun range with my brother and just behind the 100 yd targets strolls a very large doe. All the time, shots are ringing out from 22s and 30-06s. I couldn't believe it. She did not care that bullets were whizzing by her. Pic not related, but cool nonetheless.

That is a cool pic, (as is your new avatar!).

We have that happen all the time at the range I go to. There is another range I visit that sits up against the East foothills where you can commonly see elk grazing the hillside. One time we counted a herd of 18 within 600 yards. Of course they were out of season and I don't think you can get elk tags there.
