But my housemate put it in a brighter light. At least I figured it out and we can take showers tonight. Its fixed. Thank God for that.[/QUOTE]

Take the shower together, saves water and is a good reward for fixing the problem.

After a day with a patient schedule full of pretty close to nothing but colds (still haven't found a cure for those), I had a patient that actually needed medical attention.

A young first time mother who had just given birth four days ago, came in with a complaint if a persistent cough that had been going on since the day after her release from the hospital. Looking at the initial complaint I figured this was just going to be another cold. Nope. She had almost no breath sounds on the right side. Sent her for a chest x-ray that confirmed pleural effusion of most of her right lung. Made an immediate referral for the pulmonologist.

Have to wait to find out what the cause was. I'm glad she came in and didn't just blow off having the problem evaluated. Pretty good chance with the recent delivery that she either formed and threw a blood clot, or burst a blood vessel in her lung.

"Housemaid"? LOL!

No. She is female. No romantic involvement, separate bedrooms and all. Just good friends who are trying to be supportive of each other in a difficult time.

My guess too. Seems most likely. No fever or other indications of an infection.

The highlight of my day yesterday was arriving in Oklahoma and seeing my beautiful wife and kids.
