Monday Eve. went to my daughters to discuss Thanksgiving plans. I got in the door, while I was taking my shoes off at the entrance to the living room I heard the 2 year old holler GRAMPA, then four kids came out and mobbed me! ( Pics are coming, one of the older granddaughters took them on their phone and they have to yet be retrieved and sent to me.)
Promised pic:

well my highlight today was getting an electric jackhammer fixed and working. only cost about $450 in parts to repair it. they burnt up the motor in it, using too small of an extension cord. we send them our with an 10 ga. extension cord that is rated for it's use. they completely fried the the electric motor in it.

the manager is sending them a bill for the repairs to fix it. between the parts and the labor, it will be about $600 for the bill to repair it. a new electric jackhammer like the one we have is about $2300.

You would expect the cord to catch fire first.

Today's highlight, my little girl bringing me some paint and asking me to paint her fingernails. Then running off when she thought I wasn't looking to wash it off of her "suckie thumb."

One of my many high lights of each day, is when my baby girl comes bounding in from school. Saying Hello Daddy!! gives me a hug and a kiss and tells me of her 4th grade day

Next time you'll know not to paint her "suckie thumb". because trying to wash it off might ruin the beauty of her other nine nails.

The highlight of my day was my wife and kids coming to visit me at work. I always enjoy seeing them more than I'm accustomed to.

Also, getting one of my big obligations out of the way, finally, at work - that was pretty nice too. Especially since it seems I did fairly well on it.
