Basically thats what the golden sabers run so,...yeah, they are a bit overpriced to begin with. The PMC's for 19 is a bit much! Last year I got em for $12.99 a box,..recently I have seen them back below $15 again...JW, look for the Fiocchi Mono Block expansion rounds( they have them in 9mm and 357 that I know about, prob. More as well). Half the price of the GS's at $17 for a 25 box and $33 for 50....
Back in the winter I caught a deal on 125 rounds of the Sabers for $99...basically $25 a box with one Free,..or $20 a box...
And the Highlight of My day was....(drumroll please......) getting the kids in my class at the Library to actually do some work on the Float for the holiday parade which is 5 weeks away.......and getting 8 Boxes of Federal American Eagle 22's for $6 apiece and the Pawn shop/GS owner saying, "Your such a good customer,..I'm sorry it's $6 a box,..here's one on me!!, Lets make that 9 boxes....you can never have too much 22 These Days....

the highlight of my day?

i just hope that this morning is not a sign of the way the day is going to be.

woke up to the dogs barking and raising cain this morning. look out the front window and see a school bus backed into my driveway. hmmmm......well i got dressed and goto see what the problem is. bus got stuck in my drive, trying to turn around because a huge tree had fallen across our road. it's been raining and some wind this week so far and this is the fourth dead trree to fall on our road. the county maintenance workers are trying to remove the tree and get the bus unstuck.

oh well. i just called work and told them i would be a little late this morning.

so how's your morning going!

Man you shoulda got your chainsaw out and carved that baby up like a thanksgiving turkey! The highlight of your day should have been "saving school for all the little children."

And then a short complaint later about your house getting egged cuz they wanted to miss a day.

the school bus was actually stuck in the soft ground because of all the rain. he had backed up and into my drive to turn around because of the tree being down.

Now let's do some math here people. The wife has been wanting a tanning salon membership for awhile now. Let's pretend it costs $30 per month (most places its actually twice that, but we'll go with $30 for now). Oh and you're limited as to how much you can go. It would take us only 13-14 months to pay $400 by going to a tanning salon. That's not including gas price in getting there.

So if the tanning bed lasts at least 14 months, it's basically an investment. Every month after the 14th is money saved.

So, if she wants a tanning membership ANYWAY, why not figured out a way to save a bunch of money and still accomplish the same goal??

To me, NOT saving money means an automatic suspension of The Man Card.

(Let me put it in terms you understand. Why would I pay $300 or more per month for ammo, when I can just reload and either save money or shoot a LOT more??)
But they really aren't good for you.

I really miss being able to actually swim in the ocean without a wetsuit.

Just doing my duty, I guess? Speaking of coffee, that's going to be my first order of business this morning.

Interesting on the gym equipment thing. Its really funny to me how much money people can save just by buying certain equipment themselves, and paying a little more upfront, rather than getting a membership somewhere (tanning salon, gym, shooting range if your yard is equipped for it, heck even planting a garden.

Regarding the Fiocchi Mono Block, I'm always on the look-out for reasonably priced defensive ammo. If I run into it I'll be sure to snag it up. But I usually do that anyway. Still trying to build up a decent supply of defensive ammo.

Another plus is that you can work out without distraction and you don't have to wait in line...
