Don't know what my HS GPA was. Went to college at age 45 and my bachelor's GPA is 3.45. My masters GPA is 3.75.

I would get in school suspension once a year or maybe two. When that happened the VP would toss me the keys to his pick up and say take her down to the Auto shop and tune her up and change her oil for me. That meant to take all day puttering around with his truck and then bring it back to him washed waxed and oil changed. He never said to wash and wax it but I did anyways.
Learning to read between the lines and differentiate between what a boss says and what they really mean is a more important lesson than most high school classes can offer.

Graduated H.S. with 3.8 GPA and somewhere near 60 more credits than I needed. SAT was some ungodly high number if I remember correctly in top +-10% of Nation. I took alot of summer school so I could get out of working so much in the family business on summer break. Worked in family business year round already after school and weekends. Accepted in local University for pre-med but couldnt get in under this major due to minority quotas. Went to Junior College and took transferable classes while trying to get into this University for just over 2 years. Got discouraged with this situation, met girl, dropped out, went to work full time in family business, got married, bought house, went to work away from family business and started side business, had kid, got divorced, enrolled in State college, changed major, got BS in business. GPA here was 3.4. Worked in a couple of blue collar trades, was a suit in large corporation for a few years, then went back to trades. Liscensed contractor since 2001.

Well there you have it.
