Well, with my skinny ass I don't have enough territory for a grapefruit-size mark. That is why it puzzles me why I get them.

My IV went in the back side of my hand. Usually it goes well but this nurse took four tries. She could see the vein but it kept squirming away. Like WOC said dehydration must have played a part as my prep instructions said not a sip of water after midnight while the procedure was about 8AM.

I had previously posted that I had a colonoscopy a few months back because my friend's brother was diagnosed with colon cancer. Unfortunately he passed away a couple of days ago. Going through radiation therapy weakened his immune system causing him to get pneumonia in both lungs. Something will kill us all one day, but this tragedy could've been prevented. Being in his mid 60's was still too young die. Even though many don't want to hear it tell all to get that colonoscopy if they care about not hurting their family.

Sorry about your friend's brother.

I might add, March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
