Yes, of course. However, when mine was going bad
my lights were affected by it. There was a significant pulse occurring Which affected my headlights etc.
long story short.. Once I R&R'd alternator no more need to replace bulbs <go figure?>
What I have learned, that any light in the outboard system that is out or going out. The turn signal for that side gives a rapid (faster) tempo when engaged. So its time to check the line.
