I'm going to go out hunting for a few hours when it first gets dark.
Then park the buggy and hike acrossed the road to my bud's house for a little get together and a little drink.

Wife's two grown sons are coming over, and I'm gonna cook up some pasta with a red sauce and freshly-grated parmesan reggianno (none of that shaker-cheese sh!t). Probably open a bottle of Gruet Brut sparkling wine (from NM, and very good quality at an affordable price). Watch some DVDs.

At midnight, we'll toast the New Year with another sparkler - Argyle Black Brut 100% Pinot Noir - that we brought home from our Oregon vacation back in August.

Except for the Argyle, pretty much our standard NYE agenda.

We have two traditions we follow:

1. We open the front door and let the New year in and open the back door and let the old year out.

2. We each make a list of things that we'd like to let go, such as health or finance or whatever issues we want to put behind us. Then we burn them at midnight to start the New Year fresh.
Great traditions. Anything special since you have Pengie as a guest this year? Like maybe some liquified sardines on the rocks?

Happy New Year to all of our FTF family and may the Gods smile on you in the coming year. Stay safe.

Happy New Year to you, too. I've worked many holidays over the years and will so again in the future. I'll be thinking and worrying about Glass, too.

Pengie will write his own list and hang out with us. Generally he's early to bed and early to rise, but tonight will be an exception.
