In the border states of Calif, Ariz, NM, and Texas, the Mex-americans are going to be celebrating it anyway. So the gringo's might as well join in on the party as well.

The fish tacos were deeelicious today. So were the salsa and chips.

The tequila made from agave was great, and the margaritas were sweet and good.

And Mexican girls are the best too.

You fellows who live way up north don't know what you are missing on cinco de Mayo.

Tomorrow I am going to have a major hangover though.

Really it is only celebrated in a small area called pueblo. It celebrates the unlikely victory over the French. I mean really they beat a bunch of wine drinking pastry eating sissy mom as boys.

It is not even a real national Mexican holiday.

Personally I refused to even acknowledge the existence of such a celebration.

A little known battle in Mexico in 1863. This is hardly known in Mexico. It is not Mexican Independence day. Mexico owed France money. France sent the army to collect. The French lost a battle to mostly armed Indians on May 5h 1863. The next year 30,000 French troops took over Mexico. After the Civil War the American Government helped drive out the French. Yes, the American government saved Mexico. Who in the Hell ever thought Mexico ever saved their own Government? This holiday was made up by liberals to provide a history that never was. And the food Americans call Mexican is mostly Tex-mex any way another American invention.
