It's never easy to put down an old friend. I've had to do it myself many times and it's hard. But they deserve the peace and the final comfort. Real sorry about your friend.

Yeah, I'm the one that comes in late to the eulogy.

It sucks, a dogs loyalty can't be compared to hardly anything on the planet. Two dogs in my family died at the vet, before euthanasia, surely in spite of being there.

Dogs rule.

I guess the bottom line is, even as an old guy, one thing is true....if you can't shed a tear over the loss of your dog....you never deserved to have him in the first place.

Adios' Mozart. You were a damn good friend.

Losing a pet is every bit is painful as any other loss. My thoughts are with you.

You have my sympathies.

I haven't owned a dog in many years; i stick with cats. Cats are like little furry psychopaths, so when they pass away there is a sense of relief to offset some of the grief. Perhaps you need a cat break.

They are absolutely worth the tears for the love, loyalty and laughter they give us so generously. KimberFan, I really feel sad for you, and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

My little middle-aged rat terrier rescue dog Moose has lived here for two years; and he is the only living being who is always, 100% of the time, ecstatic to see me come home, whether I've been gone twenty minutes or five hours. Even my beloved late wife wasn't always glad to see me.

If Mozart and all the other dogs we've all been privileged to love aren't in heaven, I don't want to go there.

That is about the saddest time a person will ever have. I have been there, I miss those ever trusting eyes looking at me, and wanting to please me. My sympathy is with you fellow shooter.

Sorry for your loss. That is about the worst feeling in the world, but always remember the great times together.

Sorry for your loss. If I had the choice over a dog and a human, I would choose the dog 10 fold.

Dang it, why is it whenever someone posts The Rainbow Bridge
someone sneaks into my room and begins chopping onions?
