My second grade teacher never bought the arguement about the pencil being responsible for my atrocious spelling and my wife doesn't buy the arguement about the lonely guns........

I'll try the economic arguement.

There is no question that guns have the "potential" of death or injury. Afterall, that's their purpose. But Doctors on the other hand, took the hippocratic oath to preserve life and on a regular basis accidently (or intentionally) kill people. The numbers speak for themselves. I trust my gun to do its job perfectly everytime and it does. But don't trust most doctors any further than I can pi$$.

Are Guns Dangerous?
Nope! Never known one to go off by itself. If you layed a gun in the back seat of your car and got into a head on collision....then the gun might become dangerous.
