(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.
Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept of Health Human Services.
Now think about this:
Guns:
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's 80
million..)
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.
Statistics courtesy of FBI
So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than
gun owners.
Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."
Fact: not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone has at least one doctor.
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors
before this gets completely out of hand!
Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the statistics on
lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical
attention. __________________ Change is not a destination, just as hope is not a strategy. - Rudy Giuliani

Yes.
As are cars, bathtubs, airplanes, ice cream, Porterhouse steaks, coffee, pencils and high heels. __________________ ---------------------------

Nope, guns aren't dangerous at all, they are as safe as snuggly-wuggly teddy bears................................
Seriously though, it's the people that operate them that can be dangerous. __________________ "TRAIN WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, NOT WITH WHAT YOU WISH YOU HAVE." |

Oh, I don't know if I agree with that. I was just sitting there the other day minding my own business when my Glock popped its case open, jumped out, rummaged around to find a loaded magazine, loaded and cocked itself and then went out to rob a convenience store. What's a mother to do? |

Dogs are far more dangerous than guns statistically. Last I knew about half a million kids a year are sent to the ER by dogs. |

They may be as they make you spend money on gas, ammo, targets, cleaning equipment, safes, locks, cases, purchase additional guns so one gun is not lonely. Wait a minute they are good for the economy, stimulate small business, give government something to write and re-write regulations about, and promote open communication! Nah they must be dangerous as they were once mentioned by our founding fathers....who obviously did not have a clue what they were writing or talking about. __________________ [The odds are always 50/50 |

And you can't have an odd number of guns, one is always left out... __________________ If the pain is lacking so is the discipline...
