Jeezus......relax. I thought this was a forum for people expressing opinions that they are entitled to. Of COURSE, I'm NOT a gun control advocate......oh, never mind.

I agree with you, Dude.

I've been to gun shows in many states, and I read newspapers from LOTS of states, and I've seen and read about a lot of private sales going on at these shows. There is enough press given to this phenomenon that even the nut jobs know where to go to buy a gun easily.

If someone wants to buy or sell via the newspaper or any other private means, that's their right. But at gun shows, where dealers are trying to make a living.....come on. And it couldn't be that hard to post a few more security people at a show who can check the private sellers for the correct paperwork as a transaction is taking place.

I think this is the disconnect we are hitting in this thread. Currently, gun shows ARE a legitimate place for individuals to make private sales; it's perfectly legal for them to do so, at this time. If a gun show was listed as "dealers only" or "no private sales", i wouldn't be as interested; when i was growing up, gun shows were not only a venue for out-of-town dealers who might have some bargains, they were also an opportunity to see some real classic firearms & unusual items from individual collections. If gun shows are to become just gun "flea markets" for gaggles of dealers to hawk their wares, i'll take my money elsewhere.

Should the individual sellers be a little pickier about who they sell to, sure, but they are not legally required to at this time, to the best of my knowledge.

I don't know Tango, that kinda resembles a Mule; are you sure it is a horse? Can we really be sure of it's health status without a physician's review.
