Default Gun Show Purchases

Okay, so I know this will seem about as silly of a question as possible, but I'm askin' anyway.

There is a gun show this weekend and I was thinking of going and possibly purchasing a firearm. My question is, how does that work? If I bought a pistol, is there a waiting period? How would I secure the pistol if the vendor is out of state? Will another FFL dealer hold it until I clear? I ask as I have never purchased from a gun show. Someone clue me in please.

Shouldn't be in Florida. At most they will run your license through ncic and you'll be on your way in 5 mics. Hope you find a good deal!!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Really not a silly question at all...
Most firearm dealers except transfers for an extra fee.
So if you buy (without a permit) from an out-of-state dealer,
pick a dealer in your area that the firearm can be tranfered to.
After the waiting period you'll be able to pick-up your firearm at the local dealer you picked. Make sure you check on the amount of the transfer fee.

About 6 months ago I was with a friend at a gun show. He bought a shotgun from a dealer in Georgia. The Georgia dealer transfered it to a local dealer then my friend picked it up after the waiting period when he got off work.
FYI; his transfer fee was 50 bucks.
