Albuquerque main gun show in June (early), had some good ammo. Texas Ranger 147 grain 9mm - $230.00 for 500 rounds. I shot only 15 rounds so far.

We had a mini show, if you call it. Theay have a King Cobra .357 8 inch cannon for 1100.00 that has never been fired ! If there was Colt Anaconda 44 Magnum version 6 or 8 inch or a 6 inch .357 Colt Python, I would not think twice - depending if the wife is in the area! That is the reason I walk thru. AR's too damn expensive - I could pick one up from Sportsman's Warehouse and save 200 to 300 dollars!

The last one I went to the gun prices were ok, but the ammo was trough the roof. The other thing was that it looked more like a jewlery show/flea market than a gun show.

So I was at the local gun show and the prices were high on both guns and ammo here also. But there was a great variety of everything. I will say that for the show. I pretty much just looked at everything and didn't buy anything.

I walk thru so fast, you could see the dust still flying! Sportsman's Warehouse is cheaper than the show!

Just like everything else in life, you have to know your prices. I over paid for 45 acp last week at a show, only because can't find it local. But by the time I figure parking ($7) and admittance ($8), I could have had the ammo shipped for slightly less.

I did see new Glocks at a vendor table for $490 though. The is the best price I have seen in a while. And I did pick up a new Springfield Loaded 1911 a month ago at a show for $725. Thats about $250 less than what I seen in retail stores.

Gun shows are really boring and when you go to one, you been to them all. I agree, prices are terrible. Only thing you save, would be the shipping. I see alot of junk firearms, like they were picked out of the trash and then they sell them for hundreds of dollars. The reloading stuff is barely there as people are swooping this crap up for the first 10 minutes of the show starting. There seems to be hardly any handguns and 1000's of AR platform rifles. Jewelry, toys, stun guns ,airsoft ,airsoft, airsoft and just plain ol ****...you just get tired of it. I do most of the shopping on the internet. I get what I want and do not have to put up with the crowds!!

ya our gun show $3 for parking and $8 to get in. i get all my ammo from sportsman guide, i like there prices cheap. As for buying at gun shows know your prices. i just recently bought an saiga 12g shot gun saved $100 over buying it out side of show. My son likes they guys selling the jerky, its a must stop. But like others said they also sell that non gun junk.
