Gun Drool Thread!
Matt got me thinking about this:
Here's your scenario - windfall money pops into your lap ( inheritance, lottery cash, bank bag off a fast moving armored car, ).
Let's say $10K.
You pay a few bills, maybe save some, buy some groceries for the pantry, some of the good stuff for the booze cabinet.
And now you got some money burning a whole in your pocket.
So, what gun do you buy? And why?
Post pictures and inspire the rest of us. I have to think about mine, because I am not sure at the moment what is at the top of my wish list....

I would want a very stock/military looking 1911 by Kimber with OD grips and a Super Match M1A with appropriate scope (have stock stained OD). I would spend the remainder on ammo for both.

I really don't need anything at the moment but if I had throwaway money I'd get a Colt Python. Not the most robust of revolvers - but about the prettiest gun ever made. The Colt Royal blue finish is just the best I've ever seen...

SEI M21/M14, Stoeger Double Defense w/EOTech or Aimpoint and a Cheytac M200 Intervention in .408 Chey w/military goodies. That just about exhausts the $10k after a small stash of ammo.
That covers close up, medium range and reach the **** out and touch someone.

Benelli M4, I need a shotgun, I don't have one yet.
POF 415
Piston AR and it looks awesome
and a pair of Watchmen 1911's
Then just buy ammo and extra accessories with the rest.
Ask me next week and I'll probably have a different answer for you.

Maverick 88 in 8 shot. [only about $220]

Remington 572 22LR pump action [$500ish]
I dont really need any other guns. I'd probably pick up one of these, though.

Mossberg 500 in .410 bore. [$250-$270]
I'd stock up alot of ammo for each, plus my current guns. Probably get a nice gun safe, too.

shoot $10K is gone with the bills.
Kelbly's Kodiak action, fluted Kreiger barrel, 6mm Dasher with .265 neck, maroon Kelbly Hunter stock, Jewel trigger, recoil pad.
Topped with a Deon March 10-60x52mm scope in kelbly's Rings.
Or this bad boy.
