Nope. Apparently you missed the special on the Discovery Channel called "How Beer Saved The World". Everyone should watch - its very informative.

And I just got done eating one while reading these posts.
Once again I ask, HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A HOT DOG BEING MADE? Filling is absolutely the correct word to use. Hell, other than a few premium brands, most are FILLINGs.

That's what you meant, wasn't it?

A hotdog is a hotdog. It can be put on two separate pieces of bread and called a sandwich, it can be placed in a bun (hinged bread holding device) covered in any number of condiments from Catsup to kraut.

A hot dog unto itself is not a dagum sammich.

Coming from the Chicago Area, where the have the best dogs in the world, no one there in their right mind would ever call a Chicago Dog a sandwich I have say that a hot dog is in a class all of its own. If you ever went into Super Dawg and asked for a hot dog sandwich the first reaction would be “what the f**k are you talking about” and the next would be “get the hell out of here”. If anyone has never had a real Chicago Dog I really feel sorry for them, they don't know what they have missed. It isn't a sandwich it is a HOT DOG plain and simple broken hinge or not.
