The title alone answers the question. It is not "The Great Sandwich Debate"......it is "The Great Hot Dog Debate". Thereby differentiating a sandwich from a hot dog.

Absolutely Lon, and thank you.
Test it like a good Merlot. Hold it against the light of day, swirl and sniff it and watch the legs climb the glass. Do this, and I'm sure you will see it as I do, that in fact hotdogs are in a league of their own.

I think it is safe to say that we all know where WoC stands on the subject. And she and I stand together.

Now don't even get me started on Corn dogs.

Oh, geeze. Meat on a stick. A whole other category, indeed.

For this one, I think I'll go with an amusing Pinot Noir with foie gras and white truffles. Just for sustenance while I'm pondering.

Pull the cork, let it breath and I'll be there in a minute.

Would your answers differ if the weiner was a Smart Dogs veggie weiner?
I love them with krout & mustard, when i can find them.

I'm not 100% on whether or not a hot dog is a sandwich, but i do consider the "U gouged" subway offerings to be "sandwiches".

I define it in a class of it's own, but I also do the same for burgers and those are clearly sandwiches.

manwhich scares me. i cant see how meat that sits on a store shelf in a can, can possibly be tasty. its gotta be close to vegamite!!
