When I was a kid we had to walk all the way to the TV and back to change the channel and watch a program!

I was making $5 an hour and could afford to buy a house and a car. Chicken was 10 cents a pound and a good steak was 29 cents a pound. Gas was under 25 cents a gallon.

Was there ever a time when folks took responsibility for their own actions and problems ?

No need to be sorry in my mind. Strong language is always out there, it takes a strong person with a good vocabulary to understand where it is appropriate.

My grandmother used to tell me about when she went to the store to buy some groceries with a box full of cash and neither she nor the grocer knew how much cash he should take for the groceries because cash was nearly worthless. That was in Germany in the early 20th Century. The "Good Old Days".
