got a moss 500
finally bought one. my win 1400 gave me problems awhile back and didnt have a spare so i borrowed my buddies 500 (he stores it my safe), really like the way it felt and handled.after doin a little research and a lot of reading on this forum (THANKS EVERYONE)i started looking, found a matched set a a local pawn shop that looked brand new, maybe used once.after a little jewing i got one for $175.00 +tax iam happy with it and now have a spare 12. like i said THANKS i dont do alot of posting but i do alot of reading.and trust most of what i read on this forum.

Sounds like a great deal on a great shotgun! My dad has one and has been shooting it for years with no problems. I'll stick with my Winchester 1300 until it decides to give me any problems but I have doubts that it will.

I've enjoyed mine very much & picked it up at a pawn shop (though much more used). There are a TON of accessories/options for it, if you decide you want to customize it in some way. I saw a plastic stock set with the "speed feed" buttstock for sale used on either this forum or thefiringline, for maybe $45 this week.

Sounds like an excellent deal and I second the fact that you find a LOT of information here from those who have the knowledge and are sharing it. I'm looking to pick up a 500 and hope I can get a deal like yours.

Good job. Mossbergs are great/affordable/reliable shotguns. In all my years of experience with firearms I became to trust them with my life and self defense. If shtf my shotgun will come first. I own 4 of them.
2 mossberg 590 (a)(a1)
1 mossberg 500
1 mossberg 930 spx
