Mice are notorious drunkards.

Regarding cats "playing" with mice: I bought a white mouse for a cat I had in college. The cat ended up keeping it as a pet for about a week before the mouse wised up and split. It was really weird to see them both eating from the same bowl. That cat was always a little strange.

Antifreeze crystallizes in the kidney's and in trying to flush it out it shreds the medulla of the kidney causing excruciating pain and suffering. The kidneys can't function and the animal dies. I don't like rats or mice. But this is disgusting. Promoting cruelty to animals any animal just makes me sick.

Don't you think they would drown before their kidneys failed?

Don't use antifreeze. Its not necessary as they will drown first as "gello said. Plain water. Also your cat or dog might drink the antifreeze and die.

I have used this type of trap with great success for years. They work better than the snap-traps do.

Skunky beer seems like a good compromise; let them go out with a buzz.
