The purpose of this thread was to get a response from one of our cherished members, whom a great number of fellow members expressed a concern about, since his absence was painfully obvious.

The Colt insults were meant in good fun, to get a rise out of him, kinda like poking a rabid badger with a stick.

The continued absence then turned to legitimate concern, which popped up in several different threads.

But it turns out, the errant member was off fishing and enjoying life. A crime? No. Could he have at least given J.D. a heads up, so that we wouldn't waste bandwidth and emotional trauma? Yes.

I beseech you, members of the forum, what is appropriate punishment for such neglect?

Clearly the accused needs to make a plea of his side of the case, but I do not think having him write an extensive article about the fine qualites of the Glock modern firearm over the antiqued Colt is out of the question.
