I saw "Das Boot" in German with subtitles. After the first 15 minutes or so, I didn't even notice it was subtitled. My daughter has some hearing loss so we often watch her tv with closed captioning.

Foreign films are best watched subtitled. The voice is an actor too.

Its a pretty graphic film. I saw it in the theater with my wife and we were both pretty shocked

Just finished watching it. My honest opinion... meh.

I found myself too often trying to figure out what was going on. I don't think they did a good job packing a rather complex story into the movie.
