We got about 7-8 inches of snow over the weekend, yesterday late afternoon it was low 20s and mostly sunny. I bundled up and went over to my uncles to get his tractor and 3 point blade to clean my driveway. It took the best part of 3 hours to plow my driveway. Halfway through a friend drove by, saw me outside, turned around and pulled into my drive. We BSed in the driveway for about half an hour he in his warm truck and me on an open tractor! Properly dressed I never really got cold while I was out there until I shoveled the sidewalk from the drive to the front door and started sweating under all those clothes, then I WAS COLD.

We are supposed to have a high of 1 degree tomorrow, I think our normal high temp is around 25-30 degrees for this late in January.

I went home after work and plowed my driveway. I had to use a space heater in my garage to start the tractor. It was -1 with 15mph winds.
This morning it is -11 and 20mph gusts.
My little one has not had school since last Thursday. I hope she goes back tomorrow. She has had 10 days of cancelled school so far.

It was -15 when I went to work Tuesday morning, luckily the wind slowed down earlier in the night..at least the roads were not a sheet of ice,, sun helped out clearing them up Monday,, my wife is going through withdrawals, no trap shooting for her lately, and I am very tired of driving in crappy weather at 4:30 in the morning,, but the sun setting later,, good sign,, not too much longer, then I will be bitchin' about cutting the yard and weeding the garden.

Mobile, AL gets a rare light dusting of snow and a little ice, lol... Some people I know act like it's a blizzard.

Here comes winter again, 12 to 14" coming today, 99% of the schools closed before sunrise. Right now its a trickle but by noon its supposed to be a flood. We need more snow like a hole in the head but if your a NYer, there are a few things that you can be sure of, High Taxes, less rights and all the snow you can shovel!

I lived in Fort Riley KS for 2 years, nothing more desolate than being trapped anywhere in Kansas on a snow or wind day, only thing to do is start drinking and wake up after its over!
