Everywhere one looks there are dashes of color from all the birds flying around.
I have been putting seed and food out for various critters.

My little Pug dog has a few health issues. Her hind feet just can't take this cold. When she comes in from pottying, she stumbles and can't walk for a minute or so. Poor little dog. She comes in from outside, gets her treat then hops onto the heated waterbed to warm up.

It is going to be -10 tonight with 30mph winds. We had 6 more inches of snow and my 35 mile commute was 15 minutes longer today.
So far, my area has had 40 inches of snow this year which is far more than all of last year.
Drifting and soft snow made for an interesting drive, often with no visibility. I am very sick of this weather. Plus it makes work much more busy.

No one knows where Al Gore is these days. I have a few (inconvenient) questions for him.

Hard to believe I was actually born in a home with only a wood burning stove.

Yesterday I was out shopping all day..........which is a rare thing for me, indeed. When I left the house around noon, it was in the 20's temp wise. When I came home at 1800, it was freezing cold, snowing, high winds. The roads were drifting over already and visibility was poor. My garage is not attached. I have one of those old lady shopping carts, you know, the one with a large basket and two wheels? I use that to carry in my purchases so I don't have to make several trips to the car. It was crazy cold. I'm going back out today just in the back yard to set up another bird feeder. I also need to return that cart to the garage and carry in the bag of ice I bought that I left sitting outside overnight. LOL I'm pretty sure it's still frozen.

No school today for the area schools.
