We've had a biblical winter here in AB. People are starting to get a little testy.

There's a lot of snow in the mountains so the later this crappy spring goes, the more likely we get a fast melt and then a lot of water. I'm on high ground but it's a worry for a lot of folks.

I'm not sure if one is any worse than the other but as far as I'm concerned both are bad.

I road by the lake today on my way home from work and it was covered in boats. It made me remember how much I hated the lake when it was crowded and that my favorite fishing trips were all when I was on the water with no other boats around. I didn't think about it until just now but my favorite trips were also in the summer. I love being on the water bear foot and shorts, a little breeze, and no crowds.

There's not many lakes around here, but there's a lot of this:

People call it this and that. I say if it's not where God actually lives, then it's right next door. I was out there a few weeks ago, actually. Got my sled a little stuck...man, was I glad to climb out of there. The snow was deep.

I'm afraid there's going to be a lot of winter kill this year in the high country. Poor beggars.
