We have our 1st back-to-back days of 50+ degree weather forecast for this weekend. Thank you Lord!

We're back into the 20s & 30s with snow forecast for Tues. & Wed. but, I'll take a respite of any length.

Every time I feel like cussing the cold weather, I know Lord will reward me with 90F and full humidity come summer. So I praise Him for the winter instead

Where are you in Northern Illinois, Jim? I'm near Dekalb-Sycamore.
I'm in unincorporated Crete, which is about 20 miles south of Chicago and a stones throw from Indiana.

My son went to NIU over by you and I'm a Huskies football fan.

Looking forward to some consistantly good weather in a few weeks.

Jim

You are in the wrong place. In IN there are two kinds of weather: above average and below average. Average is a calculated value. It never happens.

Winter has broken me. Last week the forecast was for 4-6" of snow. We got 8" at the very least.
I got the tractor out with the snow blower attachment and immediately got it stuck. My wife was complaining because she had to get to work. I shoveled and pulled to get it out and finally did. I headed down our 400' driveway and noticed it wasn't throwing snow on one side. One auger was broken and I was stuck again. Now my wife was really upset so I drove the tractor into the ditch to get it out of the way. The rest of the day I was shoveling and lifting the tractor out of the ditch. I managed to get it out and back to the garage. Then my wife got home and gave her 4wd SUV some gas at the bottom of the driveway and buried it in the yard. By the time I got her out, my body was sore and back in severe pain.
Two days later, we got freezing rain. I am done with winter!

We skipped spring and went straight to summer. It was 89 here yesterday. It's 85 right now - 5:05 PM.
