Default Getting gun wet?

I'm about to walk 4 or 5 miles with a friend. My husband insists that I have my gun. I have an IWB holster and it works with my yoga pants because they are form fitting. Here's my concern...... It's over 90 degrees so clearly I will be dripping in sweat when we get back which means some sweat will have gotten on my gun. Is it alright if it gets wet?

It will be fine. May just want to wipe her/him (the gun) down when you get back.

Avoiding any dirty remarks. Yes it's fine just clean it afterwards.

Yes it's fine. Just clean it after. People hunt in rain and snow. And many Beads of sweat are created in Iraq n . Again just clean it when done

When I'm working in my yard in this east Texas heat & humidity, my clothes will be saturated with prespiration. I just wipe it down with a dry cloth & dry some of the moisture out of the holster, but I never leave it in the holster overnight & that gives the leather time to dry out.

But they are all protected by Finish Line Dry Lube which is a combination of wax, teflon & oils. Even one of my Bersas with the finish removed from the flat areas of the slide shows no signs of rust.

Unless Fathead bought you the rare water soluble pistol, you'll be fine. In Vietnam I started sweating when they opened the door of the airplane at the arrival airport. I stopped 12 months later about 10 minutes after they closed the door of the departing airplane. In between spent a lot of time getting rained on. My guns made out better than I did.

Wipe it down. Light lube. Stay away from WD40.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
