I think you're giving those guys too much credit. They do not want this nation to remain free. A strong, free America is anathema to their collectivist desires. These people hate and fear people like us because we stand in the way of their dreams of domination. They hate the right to vote, they hate the right to bear arms, they hate the right to free speech. They are the true "little Eichmanns." They all see themselves as a future ruler, the man with the whip hand. They see you as the future ruled, the man with the shackled hand. They don't love this country, they hate it with every fiber of their being because they cannot have what they truly want as long as freedom exists. We need to stop treating them as beknighted fools and treat them as sinister agents of destruction. We must fight them at every turn in the public arena because the siren song of no responsibility is too easy a trap for most people to fall into. I'm not advocating violence against anyone like that, but we must not let them be the only voice heard.

You know what I think is stupid about those 'plastic bag hippies'? They cry and whine that plastic bags are produced using oil and that paper bags are better. I would like to ask one of them if they'd ever been to a logging site. Paper bags are made by harvesting trees, chainsaws are used to cut down trees. Chainsaws run on gas, also the heavy equipment used to get the trees from the forest to waiting log trucks (which also use fuel) are used. So either way you go, someone, somewhere down the line has to use some kind of fuel to make either one.

There you go again, trying to confuse people with the facts. These are the same people who think electric cars don't pollute. As long as I'm veering off topic, what I really get a kick out of are the wealthy liberal *******s who drive a Prius or some other POS hybrid to cut down on pollution when they drive from their house to their private jet.

Wareagle, I think you did the right thing, especially because he noticed your NRA sticker.....

The last thing we gun owners need is someone thinking we're easily angered and quick to react. Just gives them more reason to argue against firearms. Your failing to respond to his tirade raised you above his idiocy and made you the better man.

Well done!

Well, myself, have always loved the "If it sves just one tree..." argument- since part of my family are tree FARMERS- they planted the trees to be harvested for pulpwood (to be made into paper) and lumber. Sorta like proclaiming "If it saved just one cauliflower......"

Ref the idiot at the gas station- had one that was berating me over the older Lincoln Town Car I was driving. Asked him what mileage his roller skate got- He proudly proclaimed 28 mpg. I invited him to look at my instrument panel, at the readout for AVG FUEL ECONOMY- that was reading 31.4- and then jumped on him for driving a "gas hog" and "wasting scarce resources".

When he headed into station to pay, was badly tempted to top off his gas tank- I did have a diet Pepsi in my hand......
