I would be honored to esscort penguie up to the iwo jima memorial quantico for a shift with the Marines at the front gate.

Then he could go pull a shift at the USMC museum. Maybe the stuff there comes alive at night like in the Movies.... I bet he would have fun telling war stories with them at night.

Penguie could also go and visit some civil war battle fields and maybe do a little reenacting.

I know he just left the South, but just maybe in the not so distant future he could make his way back to Texas. Maybe Central Texas this time?

After a nice drink, Pengi felt relaxed from the long trip. He wanted to thank Scubie for his hospitality and his air fare, which was better than first class(literally).

Pengi asked to visit a few places since he had never been to DC before and I obliged.

Here he is in front of the Reflection pool and Washington monument.

Pengi was singing the Rocky theme song after he ran up the steps. He held his wings up for this picture. I didn't have the heart to tell him Rocky ran up the steps in Philly not DC.

Pengi being humbled by the beauty of the monument.

Just a great shot of the Lincoln Memorial.

After the morning of visiting sites was over it was time to get to work. You can clearly see how "busy" and "hard working" Pengi was in the office.

Then he started doing some paperwork on the computer. I think the monitor gave him a headache because he didn't work on it very long.

Pengi also participated in a meeting today, but cameras were not allowed in that area. He's a bit to blunt for the political climate in DC. You can't just tell the truth when asked a question, it took me a while to realize that though, he's learning.

I asked if he wanted to stop by the Capitol Building on the way home but he just laughed and mentioned something about being afraid the massive corruption in that area would rub off on him.

Pengi is having a great time here but knows this is just a short stop and a relaxed one at that. To any Commanders interested in getting Pengi on their duty roster, you have to ask via back channels. He's anxiously looking for his next set of orders to come in.

Edit: Pengi's next Commander has been tasked, contacted and accepted.

Thanks for a great report.

Go Pengi!! Go Pengi!! Go Pengi!!

Wow, Looks like FTF Pengi had a great R&R and it also looks like an office job dosen't really work for him.

I can't wait to see where Pengi is heading now and what he will be doing.

Thanks Yunus for being such a great Commander.

Scubie

Really top notch Commanding and hosting Yunus! You have definitely shown Pengie, and us, some of the real sites from your part of the world.

*grabby hands for Pengie*
