Default FTF Delivers!

About 6 weeks ago I got an office email which asked for donations for the soldiers returning from combat duty. I work on Ft Stewart which is the home of the 3rd Infantry Division - and we deploy a lot of troops. These donations were needed to provide the returning single soldiers with "Welcome Home" bags containing a selection of items they'd need when the get back to their empty barracks rooms. Things like toiletries, snacks, and other necessities. I began a fundraiser among supporting members and we collected just under $1000 for this worthwhile endeavor.

Canebrake also had some very nice FTF business cards printed up and these will be included in the gift bags we funded.

Today I was able to present the check to the Post Sgt Major on behalf of the men & women of FireArmsTalk and we received this certificate of appreciation. I'm proud of all of you that donated to this worthy cause...

That's pretty cool..What a nice gesture on their part.

I've always thought it spoke volumes about people be looking at what they didn't have to do but did it anyway. Itr shows a lot about the people here at FTF and the base personnel to giving a token of their appreciation as well.

This IS a big deal, and one I'm proud I had the opportunity to play some small part in.
