Here is one's backstory

Does it really matter what the back story is. They are vets. They may not make it to the new year. They fought in WWII and one fought in Korea as well. A facebook group called US Army WTF moments also posted the one in Texas. So I figured the least I could do was try to get them some more cards. Giving is what this time of the year is all about for me.

gunnut, I would say most of us care very much for Vets, as a matter of fact many of us are Vet's including yours truly. I was intrigued by the fact you posted their names and addressed cause nowadays that may not be such a good thing to do even if you mean well (I know you do mean well!). When you posted it with no backstory, Im not sure who Im connecting with and why.

We have so many Vets in our midst's here in CNY and I think for the most part, our citizens embrace them 365 days a year even if the federal government has turned their backs on them and us. I will pray for those vets and all of them as I do nearly every night, they are a tough bunch for the most part and thrive when others fail. I worry most about the future Vets that are our Sons and Daughters, Grand-kids and parents of our future generations. Taking care of the Vets we have today is half the challenge, making damn sure less vets come back home missing pieces or broken mentally is just as urgent or even more-so if youre considering our Armed Forces as a Career choice.

God bless all our Vets, bring home the ones serving us in festering wastelands and Pray for Peace on our planet.
