Sometimes when I am plinkin' away on my home range, the guy who lives on top of the hill brings down a couple and plinks with me. His wife is a little freaky, but she shoots as well.

I live on a farm in the country and have a range in the backyard. My neighbors (very few) are used to it so they don't think anything about it-at least they've never complained to me about it.

Pretty neat about the swords. I would have come over for some lessons.
The pool noodles don't lie. After the cut, if you inspect the noodle, you can see if your cut remained straight, or if you twisted your wrist, resulting in a wavy, undisciplined cut.

It's pretty cool.

Dont have any neighbors close enough to watch me load or unload my vehicles, but for those brave souls who would like take what I have worked hard for, I do have access to backhoe, for emergency disposal problems.

"Undisciplined cut", nice, I know exactly what you're talking about. One guy I trained with was really into swords, he even has several engraved katanas from the war. He has some really high dollar swords that I could have bought a nice gun with.

Heck, I freak my neighbors out all the time, but it has nothing to do with firearms. I have no idea what their reaction would be to me sitting here with a PPK on my hip!

My neighbors freak me out. Hence, the guns... But, I try to keep a very low profile with my guns. I do things like pack the guns and the ammo in a laptop bag for the trip to the car. I'll move my car to a back entrance of the building so that people don't see me take a cased long gun across the parking lot.

I absolutely agree! My wife and kids know that “NEVER TELL” means just that never tell. When I was holster shopping and took my firearm out to try a holster my son asked “won’t people now know you have your friend on?” I answered “its ok they have their friends on too”

We use a gyn bag to go back a forth to the range.

Remember meeting our new neighbor for the first time. Had just come in from the field. Had been running an OPFOR (bad guy) team for tactics exercise. I was in my role as Achmed- wearing a black burnoose, got out of the car, was carrying my "rubber duckie" AK 47 and RPG into the house when new neighbor stepped out into HIS front yard. A few months later we had a beer and a laugh together, but his initial thoughts were "OMG- what have I done moving in here?"

My neighbors don't care. I did freak out a lady at a resturant one time though. My dad and I had just finished some trap shooting and were on our way home. He started inside and I started pulling the guns out of the back to lock them in the cab of my truck. I had 3 long guns and he said this lady's eyes got bigger with each gun case. I thought it was funny.
