The English word "chopstick" may have derived from Chinese Pidgin English, a pidgin in which "chop chop" meant "quickly".According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the earliest published use of the word is in the 1699 book Voyages and descriptions by William Dampier: "They are called by the English seamen Chopsticks".

Clip sticks. My daughter's boyfriend is very proficient with the chop sticks. He's Korean. I try to keep up with him but I just can't. I've been known to stab the food with one chopstick.

Be careful now, that is considered a grave insult in some circles.

Went to a local chinese restraunt, had a seat. The waiter comes out and takes our drink order, goes away comes back with drink and then lays a wrapped fork down in front of my GF and then turns to me a d says" sir I am sorry we are all out of forks you will have to use these" and lays chop sticks down in front of me!!!! I said" buddy if you don't want me to embarrass you and pretty much everyone else in this restraunt you'll get your a$$ back there and wash me a fork.. He got what he wanted. He went away laughing.....

Knife. I've yet to run into a situation where my knife couldn't put food in my stomach.
