I knew they’d beat Bama’s butt all along – ok, so I lied….

Seems to me those tickets are going to be a really tough sell.

I'm not a member of the Polar Bear Club, so even free tickets wouldn't get me in there.

The League Has the $$$ to buy up the seats to avoid a "Blackout." Besides, since when has a Playoff Game Ever been Blacked Out?!?!?!?! I actually had to talk about this Yesterday for my spot for a Semi-Local(to me here anyway, The station comes out of St. Georges Utah But has a repeater in Williams Az.)

All's well that ends well: http://www.packers.com/news-and-events/article-1/Packers-49ers-playoff-tickets-sold-out/ecb76250-c2f0-4ea9-b2f0-67ff51daa5f3?campaign=t140103

Of course you were right, there was NO WAY the NFL (or their corporate partners), would allow a playoff game to be blacked out.

Quote:
In addition to fan sales, a group of Packers corporate partners, led by Green Bay-based Associated Bank, purchased the remaining available tickets Friday to ensure a sellout and TV broadcast of the game throughout Wisconsin.
Now the tough part, getting people to actually go.

The Packers brought that problem on themselves! My dad is a season ticket holder (4 seats) and in past years you could get a refund if they didn't make it all the way. Starting this year they keep the money and apply it towards next years tickets. They sent out the letters for ordering playoff tickets the last week of November with Christmas then on the way, and not knowing if we would even make the playoffs most season ticket holders declined!

P.S. you had to buy 3 rounds of tickets (wildcard, divisional, championship). $1200+ worth of tickets where we sit.

Big B: the Giants were doing that over 20 years ago. Consider your Dad lucky that the Packers didn't start doing that until Now. When I started going to NYG games In Yankee Stadium in 1965 the seats were $6 Each!!!
