Default Flying Magazine's Top 100 Aircraft of All Time

Here's a fascinating article for all of you aviation aficionados.

To my surprise, the Wright Flier was not #1. It was in the top 10, but not the top spot. After I saw the top spot, I can see their logic... but...

Left out the A36 Bonanza... I always wanted to fly a DH-2...

sorry, that list is way whacked

criteria
1. impact on aviation
2. impact on society
3. sales

Beechjet was a kewl plane, but it didn't sell, had zero impact on society, and had zero impact on aviation. There were a lot of other examples.

J3, I might accept as #1, but frankly, 150 and 172 should be in the top 5. V tail, near the top.

The Waco is way to low on the list in my opinion, but I'm partial they were built just north of here in Troy, Ohio. The museum and airport there are great fun.
