EXCELLENT!! I believe Kirk will handle the arrangements and pay to fly the dog to me.

I think the fee is covered by River Rat through his friend Kirk. I really can't keep Toby as I already have 3 dogs but I will find the best home for Toby where I can keep an eye on him. I will keep him for a while to help Toby heal from the experience he's been going through.

I am interested in your idea. If you contact the Mods, please also include Notdku. He's the ultmate decision maker around here.

My email box is filling up with all kinds of information on Toby. I am trying to get it narrowed down to one or two people who can make the arrangements for Toby to get to Illinois. At least Toby's being kept with one person and they all know he's supposed to go to someone. Now they know I'm that 'someone' and they have my email address and phone number. Now, we just all need to get organied.

Winds, it's at least heading in the right direction now. i think everything is going to be alright and work out just fine. and RiverRat knows that you are keeping your promise to him. i like many others have a huge amount of respect for what you are doing and for being the person you are. you are a fine person and a true friend Winds.

Stuff heros are made of winds.

I can say my mom with the jacks has put several on the plane, its not as much as a seat but its not cheap either, theres 2 or 3 things you have to do before the dog gets on the plane I wana say the vet takes care of that paperwork. I can check and find out if you want me too its a phone call away??? But I do know theres paperwork involved to even get it on a plane that you turn in when boarding. And cage regs

i believe they have to be up to date on all their shots as well. and it might be that some might even need to be somewhat sedated. talking to a vet would be a good idea.

called mom

OK here we go

Delta is the only one that will fly one out of Little Rock to a major city she said 300 min and the smaller citys was an express thing thats extra lol gata love it
Nuts and bolts plastic cage with water and food dish that hangs on the door must bring your own food as well.. 2 hour before bording is a must thing
Prepaid. She said she has run some c.o.d.
Size matters the weight including the cage

For the vet

Its a health inspec paper that the vet has, we do all our own shots, even rabies with tags

So I guess your looking at
300 plane without express
40 cage
50 or more vet
Im thinking 400+

just info guys

Edit almost forgot the health paper is only good for 10 days

Very sad to hear about RiverRat... Didn't know him but was familiar with his posts...It's never easy when a good one gets the call...

Mad, MAD kudos to Winds, Tri, Racer, DFlynt and all the others who are making sure Toby has a place to call home...You guys are the best!

When my Mom passed the only loose end was re-homing the dog so I know how stressful it must have been for RR...and poor Toby...

Don't look at it as an ending, but a new beginning...
