Default Fish chowder recipes

Just for you.............16 gallons of of fish chowder...........35# of potatoes, 5# of onions, 41/2 # salt pork, 35# fillet of haddock, salt and pepper, one # of butter, two gallons of milk, two gallons of cream........................

Damn Yankees............
The war is on
My fish chowder

One lb of cod or any white fish
one large onion
6 slices of bacon
4 potatoes
1 can of cream of celery soup
1/2 teaspoon Thyme
1/2 teaspoon Marjoram
2 cans of canned milk

Boil fish in two cups of water (save water) Fry up the bacon (Save the fat).
Slightly fry the onion in the bacon fat. Place the fish, water, onions in a pot along with the rest of the bacon fat. Dice up the potatoes and add the cream of celery soup and spices. After everything is cooked add the canned milk. Crumble up bacon bits and add to chowder as it is being served. salt and pepper to taste as being served.

I can't stand fish chowder. I remember when I first met my ex Mother-in-law. She made her "fish stew" that the whole family loved. I had to choke that crap down. It was awful.

I absolutely love clam chowder, but can't recall if I've ever had fish chowder. Never even crossed my mind. Now I know what I'll be doing with some of the 40 lbs or fish I have in my freezer...

Iv'e got 26 recipes for chowda, none comes close as to the one made by the cajuns, after the boil..............................Ask and you shall recieve...............
