Your VIN number is in clear sight on your dash left hand side. If you park in a parking lot or on the street it is visible to all. It is illegal to cover it as that prevents law enforcement officers from checking it against the VIN registered to your license number.

I've always been told it's a no no but I have posted pics with the sn not blocked out or anything. So far so good.
It seems a lot of work involved in getting a false report to hold water and your average criminal really don't have that kind of work ethic. I mean..If they did would they to just get a job?

BTW..Nice Buffalo Springfield reference guys. I was just thinking about making part of that song as a ringtone. I guess I know what part now..heh
