Finally

I have been waiting for this day for what seems like an eternity. Tonight I finally get to join the local range. I have been on a wait list for over 2 years:eek::mad:, but it is a very nice range and it should be worth the wait. I have been a member at a local indoor range, but it was pistol and shotgun only and you can only shoot at a target directly in front of you. While this is great for learning how to shoot your pistol correctly it doesn't do much for real world situations.
The range has 8 total ranges. 300 yard range for rifle, with berms at 100 and 200 also. 5 of the ranges are covered. Not to mention it cost half of what I was paying at the indoor range. I dont think I've been this excited in a while. Looking forward to doing more range reports in the future.:D

Jwhirl,

I am happy for you! Man that sounds like one fine range! And at best most only have a 100 yard rifle range! That is great!:)

NICE Did I tell you I HATE YOUR GUTS?

I have to join a new one. The one I want to belong to is $600 to start. I think I am going to join Quantico shooting club. It is $100 a year and I have out to 1000 yards to shoot at.

Awesome!! Congrats.

There is a range around here I went to with a friend last week that is really nice but its like 300 bucks, you have to go two like three meetings and get approved then you are a probie for a year before they give you full aproval  But they do have a 600 yd range

I am happy you get what you wish. Sorry you have to pay to go shooting out there.

Congrats on getting in at the range. Sounds like a good one. Having to get on a waiting list, is strange to me. I just walked into the office, said I was interested, the RO said come with me, and took me on a tour, I gave him a check, ta daaa, I'm a member. Cost me $60 a yr (senior discount), $5 for my guest, I pay $30 yr in lieu of a $2 fee for each visit.
I have access to various outside ranges from 25 yds out to 3oo. There is a separate range in the rear, used only for competitive shoots, and the local sherriff's office, and local city police. Guess I got it pretty good.
