Wow, your first post in over a year and you want us all to vote for you - a bit presumptuous I'd say. Now if you intend to donate your prize(s) to this forum - that's a different story...EMWD

Nice photo, but you need to correct your white balance a little. Good luck!

Wouldn't you feel better if you won based on the merits of your photo and not because the ballot box was stuffed.

I would indeed, but this contest is more about marketing for South West Fire Arms. The finalists are chosen by the owner and employees of SWFA, and the voting is done by all the folks that the finalists can bring to the site. It is all about getting new eyes on the SWFA web site... Who knows, maybe a few of those new eyes will wind up purchasing a product from SWFA.

This is the latest E-mail from Chris Farris, the owner of SWFA, which shows how the finalist should "get out the vote":

Quote:
Finalist,

You made the cut and voting started, congratulations and as a finalist you are guaranteed one of the prizes which one is determined by how many votes you get. We sent notifications on Feb. 5th and it has come to our attention that not everyone received the notification that you are a finalist. We have extended the voting by one week to compensate and hope that everyone gets this email, we cannot be responsible for Spam filters or addresses that we entered incorrectly at the time that you entered, so please keep this in mind if you enter any future contest.

Get the word out at your work, school, church, sports team, etc. to vote for you and send them a link to make it easier. Campaign on your FaceBook page as well. We are promoting the contest and asking our customers and members of OpticsTalk.com to vote for their favorite but you cannot rely on this alone to get you to the top, you have to campaign as your final vote count will determine what prize you get. The person with the most votes gets 1st, second most votes gets 2nd, etc. ,etc.

The prize you win is the prize you win, you cannot apply its value towards another product that we sell. Once the contest has completed please e-mail me with your shipping address and what place you finished.
Thanks for your support!

I notice you didn't quote anything from my post - I'm heartbroken...EMWD

This is roughly the same as SPAM to me as they want you folks to flood the web with links to their site. As such I have reported this as SPAM...

I apologize for somehow getting under your skin NGIB. That certainly was not my intent.

What does EMWD mean?

In spite of all the abuse you are getting, I voted for you. Let us know what you win.
