Sledge Hammer! I used to love that show as a kid. I had to go to a friend's house to watch it because my mother wouldn't allow me to watch it at home. She's a leftist human rights lawyer, and she deals mostly with police corruption cases and lots of incidents with trigger happy officers (mostly murders). She hated poor Sledge.

Another childhood favourite was Karl Malden in "The Streets of San Francisco".

From more recent shows, I'd say Gibbs from NCIS is one of my favourites. Like any self respecting knife fan, I love his 9th rule, and the show has some decent folding knives featured from time to time. From the whole Law & Order bunch, I find detective Munch rather amusing.

Slwdge Hammer. Good one.

Spenser for hire. I was a devoted viewer. Hawk (Avery Brooks) should have had a more substantial career.

Bubba, Southern Gentleman with a badge, a voice and a couple of 20" guns!

Jesse Stone. I saw the first episode of Stone Cold. I thought the Pilot episode showed a lot of promise. Nothing for a while I kind of lost track of it. Happened to catch an episode last night. DVR now set to record Stone Cold, any time.

Yes. Selleck with a real .45 and a heart. One of his better performances. Takes two to the chest and .............I wont give it away.

My favorite?

No doubt, McGarrett (sp?) from Hawii 5-0
For those of us old enough to remember the show, old McGarrett could take down a bad guy running flat out, from 400 yards with a 2" bbl revolver shot from the hip.

Shot almost as good as me. Ok, so I lie a little sometimes, I couldn't hit a Wal-Mart Supercenter from 400 yards with a snubbie)

Right!! Remember the "Scared Straight" programs of the late '70s and early '80s? They should make all juvees (male) watch the full series of 'OZ' over and over. Those dudes would never commit another crime, unless they wanna.
