Five yard penalty...he was a PI not an officer.
I was running through the list in my head and kept coming up with PIs instead of officers too...

Oh well. None of the officer portrayals really stand out in my mind (on TV).

Magnum is my all-time favorite. Great cast of characters and a lot of action. And oh yes! The 1911 .45
