Favorite TV Police Officers

Ok, we've talked about favorite movies, favorite scenes, favorite shootouts, how about your favorite TV police show characters?

We have plenty of our own law enforcement officers here, who do you like???

Sgt Friday?

Lt Kojak?

Any others?

Gunther Toody (Joe E. Ross) and Francis Muldoon (Fred Gwynne) from Car 54 where are you. NBC T.V. sitcom 1961-1963

Charley 01-19-2009 02:12 PM

Vic Mackey from The Shield.

Lem "Lemonhead" Lemanski from The Shield. Loved that guy and would have GLADLY breached a door with him anytime.

Vic Mackey, though I am not sure I could trust him....

+1 on Det. Sonny Crockett

The Original "Hondo" from "SWAT" the TV series. I also liked T.J. McCabe in the TV series because he was the scout/sniper and wasn't a turncoat backstabber like in the movie version.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs - NCIS

Some more will come to me later I am sure....

I forget the name of the guy or the show. It was a 30 minute sitcom in the 80's or 90's he carried this enormous 44 mag revolver lived in an apartment and would target practice in it. It was stupid funny and didn't last long.

Oh, how could I forget Magnum P.I. ??

Loved that show - always hot chicks in bikinis and he carried a 1911.
