Logan's Run isn't so much as post apocalypse as it is dystopian. The idea of a dystopian society is much more scary to me than the idea of a post apocalyptic society.

Again, it's more dystopia than anything, but I'm going to say Pink Floyd's The Wall. If you like Pink Floyd at all and have a decent Dolby 5.1 setup, you owe it to yourself to buy the remastered DVD. The 5.1 audio is mind blowing, it does the movie a great justice.

Well said. In that vein, I'd say RollerBall. We're going to need a new thread.

ETA: Westworld. The 70's were a kickass time for movies.

The Postman. Not a great flick, but I've seen worse.

The Stand. A TV movie based on a book by the same name, written by Stephen King. Available on DVD. The book of course is much better than the movie.

I liked Planet of the Apes as a kid.
Terminator premise. The next Terminator will be the first one set post apocolypse.
I am one of the 12 people who saw Waterworld at the theater and liked it.
12 Monkeys was the most realistic version of the end of the world. All started by germ warfare.
Mad Max
Wall E

We watched Doomsday last night, pretty entertaining. It was "28 Days Later" meets "Aliens" meets "Resident Evil".

I think the "Planet of the Apes" and "Terminator" series would both be very close to the top of my list. With the way humanity is heading, I feel that either one of those scenarios are very likely to actually happen IRL. Which is disturbing on many levels.

Yep. I believe the name of that episode was "Time Enough At Last". I'm not sure about the actor's name, but I know that he was in a lot of TZ episodes - many of which I have on tape
