I have heard that one a lot around auto repair shops. The first time you do it you get paid to fix it. If it's a shop using flat rate labor books the quicker you get it done the more money you make. The second time, after rushing through it the first time and screwing it up, you fix it for free. Spending the time to do it right the second time keeps you from fixing it for free a third, fourth, or fifth time.

I had a boss and friend whose expression was "Never enough time to get it done, always enough time to do it over." The message was to stop whining, get to it, and get it done right the first time...

It was up there with "Can't, or won't?".
