Default Favorite/Personal Mottos?

We all know the clichés (go big or go home - golden rule), but does anyone live their life by or simply hold firm belief in any specific mantra(s) or motto(s)?

Mine is a Walt Whitman quote "All can be forgiven of he whom has complete candor."

Another is what I consider a basic rule of respect for both self and others, "Live within your means."

Good topic..should be enlightening.

Of course 'do unto others...', but as a manager I do not ask someone to do something I am not willing to do or learn myself.
In projects I always measure twice and cut once.

A good bear is a dead bear and we need more good bears.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people.

George carlin coined this with "in large groups" at the end, but one stupid person can make a hell of a difference in this world. It's usually not a good difference either.
