Beautiful, too bad talk is so cheap, like the value of the dollar.

I love Frost, don't get me wrong, and I'm all for hyperbole, but this is an extreme exaggeration, even for a fellow hyperbolist. Hahaha still funny though, and point very pointedly put. Hahaha

The second - I like what it appears to be saying, but the ellipsis is where my take on that Bukowski quote comes in. Anyone with an agenda can omit or skip something to make a point, it's the omission that's my problem. Every word and every punctuation means something, especially to someone with a reading comprehension valid enough to determine its true meaning. I'd be curious to see the complete quote, think I'll look this one up. Thanks, great addition to the thread.

May I assume you a Virginian? Hahaha

Did you ever watch the old B&W show? Classic. Not as much a fan of it as I was Bonanza, but it's hard to beat anything Michael Landon, and Lorne Green was superb!!!

From some movie, but very poetic and profound.

The mania for giving the Government power to meddle with the private affairs of cities or citizens is likely to cause endless trouble, through the rivaly of schools and creeds that are anxious to obtain official recognition, and there is great danger that our people will lose our independence of thought and action which is the cause of much of our greatness, and sink into the helplessness of the Frenchman or German who expects his government to feed him when hungry, clothe him when naked, to prescribe when his child may be born and when he may die, and, in fine, to regulate every act of humanity from the cradle to the tomb, including the manner in which he may seek future admission to paradise.

-Mark Twain
