I am up for paying bobby's Supporting membership when it comes due. I think we need to keep it active at least.

I found myself in tears after read this thread. Too sad... too sad.

He truly will be missed. My thoughts and prayers will go out to his family. I remember shortly after I started hanging out here he contacted me about doing some work on his Torino.

Rest in peace, Robert.

I've been reading through his posts and found these pics in the "Who do you live for?" thread. My thoughts are with them in this hard time. Bobby raised a good family, that's the best legacy a man can leave.

Hearing about Bobby yesterday really effing bummed me out. I mean I didn’t know him that well (or much at all really). I remember reading his account of the attack, and his good nature about it all. We were all joking with him about coming over for steaks when he got to feeling better, or what the best one shot cow stopping load was. And now I just feel terrible that I didn’t think it was so serious before.

I guess it strikes a little close to home for me. When I was about 15 an old bull of ours got my dad down and pushed him under the fence about 20-25 feet away. I remember that like it just happened. He managed to make it into the house by himself. Mom cut the back of his shirt collar and then took it off like a hospital gown, his jeans were split from the waist down to the knee, and only his belt was holding them on. He was torn up pretty bad, bruised all to hell, and his shoulder is still not what it used to be. He never joked about it, but he’s ok.

So to hear Bobby’s reaction (and the fact that he felt well enough to get on-line), I just didn’t think that it was that serious.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to Bobby’s family and friends. As much as he is missed on here, I know he will be missed that much more by those he touched.

Farewell Sir and God Speed.

Whenever I was tempted to indulge in some self pity, fate would drop something huge on Bobby. If I had a tomato go bad, and was pi$$ed about it, Bobby would have an explosion-brushfire. And be cheerful about it.

It's kinda hard to be whiny when a tough old guy is dealing with something bigger, and doing it with class.

Damn good man.
